Civic Engagement
OCCCO advocates for public policies that uphold the dignity of all people in order to transform unjust systems in Orange County.
OCCCO develops committed and resilient leadership within low-income communities of color so that they are equipped to influence and shape decisions and systems affecting their lives. Using voter engagement techniques such as phone banking and door-to-door canvassing, our staff and volunteers connect primarily with Spanish-speaking voters, the immigrant community, and low-propensity voters. We engage voters on issues related to housing, education, and immigration. We gather ballot signatures, we help folks register to vote, and we hold Get Out the Vote campaigns on election day.
